Designed and developed in 2016, Olyseum is a platform wherein famous athletes can connect with sports fans.
With the likes of Spanish football players Andrés Iniesta, Iván de la Peña, and Carles Puyol and renowned computer security expert Kevin Mitnick as founders, Olyseum will bring together fans of the most popular sport in the world and world famous football stars.
With the app, players can set up social feeds in which they can interact with fans. The blockchain-powered app will be launching later this year with the announcement being set right in time for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Some lucky football fans are also given the opportunity to test out the app this week.
According to the company, Olyseum will give sports stars their own “community” for a more personalized interaction with fans. The communities will feature a reward system that will be “disintermediated and decentralized” on the blockchain.
