Warren Buffet: Bitcoin is ‘rat poison squared’

Business magnate, investor and philanthropist Warren Buffet is still not a huge fan of investing in bitcoin.

The Oracle of Omaha, according to a tweet by CNBC’s Becky Quick, reiterated his negative view on the said cryptocurrency.

Buffet called bitcoin “rat poison squared” at the Berkshire Hathaway 2018 annual shareholder meeting held on Saturday, May 5.
During the said meeting, Berkshire vice chairman and long-time Buffett associate Charlie Munger commented that trading in cryptocurrencies is “just dementia”.

Buffett warned investors about investing in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in January.

“In terms of cryptocurrencies, generally, I can say with almost certainty that they will come to a bad ending,” he said. “If I could buy a five-year put on every one of the cryptocurrencies, I’d be glad to do it but I would never short a dime’s worth,” he added.
